About the show
Truro Cathedral's celebrated choir presents a spectacular selection of festive music to get you into the Christmas spirit, including some traditional Cornish carols!
With favourites including The First Noel and the Sans Day Carol, the programme spans everything from atmospheric medieval tunes to 21st-century carols written specially for the choir.
Featuring - Truro Cathedral Choir
Truro Cathedral has had a choir of boys and men since it was consecrated in 1887. In recent years the choir has performed live on BBC1 as well as making recordings for BBC1’s Songs of Praise programme and a BBC2 documentary The Truth about Carols. There are regular live broadcasts on BBC Radio 3 and, in 2011, it became the first British cathedral choir to webcast a service.
