About the show

Luke Wallace with Totnes Harmony Choir led by Ruairi Edwards
A night of music of hope in a changing climate

Doors 7.00pm | Starts 7.30pm

HEADLINE: Luke Wallace is a dynamic force in the world of folk music, using his talent as a songwriter, speaker and choral arranger to champion environmental causes and inspire positive change. Hailing from the Coast Salish Territory known as Vancouver, Canada, Luke has been on a decade-long journey of touring, recording and organising for the betterment of people and the planet. Luke?s songs, arranged for choirs by Shawn Kirchner, are currently being sung by more than 85 choirs worldwide, and his performances blend joy, activism, warmth and people-power like no one else.

The evening opens with Totnes Harmony Choir led by Ruairi Edwards - a 70-strong chamber choir celebrated for creating harmony, not just between voices, but between people and within ourselves. Their sound is rich, vibrant and full of life; spanning folk, pop, gospel, classical and world music. From spine-tingling anthems to delicate melodies that linger in the soul, they bring energy, connection and community to every performance. Ruairi Edwards is a nationally sought-after conductor, pianist and vocal coach who works across the UK and internationally, supporting and empowering people through his infectious harmonies and inclusive style of facilitation.

Luke then brings his solo headline set to the stage. His unique brand of politically-charged folk has earned him a loyal following and a reputation as a modern-day Pete Seeger. Music that becomes a rallying cry for people rising up to meet the social and environmental challenges of our time. With his latest album The Dandelion Resistance, Luke continues to push the boundaries of contemporary folk and prove that art can be a powerful tool for change.

The choir will join him for a powerful shared finale - a moment of collective singing bringing the evening together with one voice.
