Working Life in Tavistock Through the Ages

Step into the shoes of Tavistock's miners, traders and stonemasons in this fun, hands-on workshop for primary-aged children, led by the Tavistock Heritage Trust Discovery Team.

Pan for "tin" and search for ore in a homemade mining tunnel, design your own Tudor-inspired shop or market stall, and carve an architectural masterpiece from soap using safe tools. Discover how the skills and trades of ordinary people helped shape Tavistock through the centuries.

Children must be accompanied by an adult (maximum three children per adult).
