Baroque fire meets Buenos Aires heat in a spectacular concert from violinist Maria Włoszczowska and Royal Northern Sinfonia. Vivaldi’s Concerto for Oboe and Bassoon opens brightly, before Geminiani’s ‘La Folia’ twists and turns through bold, restless variations. Zelenka’s Hipocondrie brings drama and bite and Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 sparkles with energy. To finish, Piazzolla’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires - pulsing, smoky, and full of life.
