About the show
Catch Harrison Rimmer live at the Bijou in Southport this March for an evening of high-energy performance and raw, honest songwriting.
Biography
Hailing from Fleetwood and grown in the York music scene, Harrison Rimmer has become one of the hardest-working musicians in the UK. Known for a "grit-and-glory" vocal style and an infectious stage energy, he has played across the UK, Europe, Australia, and Asia. He has shared stages with a massive variety of artists, including Frank Turner, Massive Wagons, Boston Manor, and Shed Seven.
Current Album: Cheaper Than Therapy
His sophomore album, Cheaper Than Therapy, marks a significant evolution from his debut, Larkholme. Recorded between 2022 and 2024, the record is his most personal to date, exploring themes of love, loss, and mental health. Musically, it is a "smorgasbord" of influences, blending the heartland rock of Bruce Springsteen with the punk-folk energy of Frank Turner and the soulful grooves of Marvin Gaye.
The album features standout tracks like "Tough Love" and "Cold", the latter written after Rimmer's first experience with a panic attack, showcasing his commitment to "pouring every ounce" of himself into his music.
