Jane Austen: Typhus, Smallpox & Melancholia - A 50 Years of Tourist Guiding Event

The first tourist guide training course for our region happened 50 years ago and SSFC stalwart Cheryl Butler received the first badge issued! To commemorate this golden jubilee Cheryl has chosen five of her favourite walks to lead this summer.

This walk will focus on a theme around health, spa treatments, and all the ailments which beset Georgian Southampton and almost carried off Miss Austen before she even got going! All attendees will get a chance to win a book bag.
