About the show
Eliza Carthy returns with Frenemies, a new album created with her long standing band The Restitution.
Co written and co produced with Ben seal the record combines sharp humour, traditional folk and punk spirit as Eliza reflects on motherhood, betrayal, forgiveness and the state of the modern world.
Tackling everything from complicated relationships to solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community, Frenemies captures the wit, warm and fire that have defined her career. More than 30 years on from her debut she remains one of English folks most distinctive and uncompromising voices.
Featuring - Eliza Carthy
The daughter of Martin Carthy and Norma Waterson - and the star of British folk playing folk music at its best. Eliza breathes new life into England's traditional folk music with her witty and energetic repertoire.
