Swell is an indie rock band formed in San Francisco, California in 1989 by singer-guitarist David Freel and drummer Sean Kirkpatrick. Blending lo-fi acoustics, atmospheric textures and understated vocals, Swell created a unique sound, melancholic and propulsive.
