About the show

Random Adventure proudly presents as a part of our women who go further series, Amy Hudson AKA Amy Cycling Adventures

Amy Hudson — better known as Amy Cycling Adventures — is an endurance cyclist, author, content creator, motivational speaker and mental-health advocate whose remarkable journey began with a bicycle in 2021.

A former mental-health nurse, Amy discovered cycling during one of the most challenging periods of her life. What began as a way to improve her wellbeing quickly developed into a passion for adventure, endurance and pushing beyond perceived limits.

Within just a few years, Amy progressed from being a newcomer to road cycling to completing some of the world's most demanding amateur endurance challenges. Her achievements include Paris-Brest-Paris, All Points North, national 24-hour time-trial competition and an Everesting challenge, alongside long-distance adventures across Europe.

In 2025, Amy undertook one of her most ambitious challenges yet: cycling every stage of the men's Tour de France route, together with all the connecting transfers. Covering more than 6,500 kilometres / 4080 miles and almost 75,000 metres of elevation over 28 days, the challenge combined extraordinary physical endurance. Amy's adventures continued in 2026 when she and her husband, Kyle, embarked on an 18,000-mile cycle around the world. The couple completed the unsupported circumnavigation in 123 days, averaging 150 miles a day and setting a 2 Guinness World Records for the fastest mixed pair and married couple to cycle around the world.

Alongside her cycling career, Amy is the author of Finding Happiness Pedal by Pedal, a candid account of her experiences with mental health and how cycling helped her rediscover happiness, confidence and purpose.

Through Amy Cycling Adventures, Amy shares the reality of endurance cycling, from the highs of crossing finish lines and discovering new places to the exhaustion, setbacks and uncertainty that come with taking on extraordinary challenges.

Her work is rooted in a simple belief: you don't have to be an elite athlete to have an adventure.

From struggling with her mental health to cycling around the world, Amy's journey is a powerful reminder that sometimes the biggest adventures begin with simply taking the first pedal stroke.
