From the Heart is the culmination of pledges made by people from all walks of life to learn a poem by heart and recite it in front of an audience. This popular celebratory event, now in its sixth year, is hosted by Maggie Sawkins, recipient of the Ted Hughes Award for New Work in Poetry and esteemed community artist, Janet Ayers.
