Old ones, new ones, loved ones…and perhaps a few new tunes you’ve yet to discover in a live recording celebrating the region for BBC Radio 3. The BBC Concert Orchestra
Now celebrating a half century of broadcasting, this versatile orchestra varies its range from classical works and grand opera to light music and popular songs. They are regular performers at the Last Night of the Proms and their wide-ranging and eclectic repertoire can be heard on Radio and TV, including The Blue Planet soundtrack and Proms in the Park and on the concert platform with artists such as The Corrs, Nigel Kennedy and José Cura.
