About the show
Join Plymouth's renowned contemporary folk choir for their annual winter concert. The choir are celebrated for their complex and textured arrangements and for the high quality of their singing. Directed by Julu Irvine and Heg Brignall of folk duo Suthering, you can expect some festive favourites alongside more unusual traditional and contemporary folk songs as well as some original songs written by Julu and Heg.
This year, proceeds will go towards costs involved with the choir making their first recording with sales of the finished recording going to charity. Any extra proceeds will go to the local food bank.

The 40 strong choir have built a reputation for their unique and exciting arrangements, transforming folk songs into epic and often complex a cappella harmony soundscapes; from traditional to contemporary, folk pop, their own versions of songs by progressive artists like Kate Bush and Bjork and more.
