Balloon’s folk-soul sits alongside artists such as The Go-Betweens, Blue Nile, and Velvet Underground. Balloon’s acclaimed 1992 debut 'Gravity' was recorded at Daniel Lanois’ New Orleans studio by Michael Brook, and featured Sarah McLachlan. Following much acclaim, the band toured America, and even opened for Bill Hicks on what would be his final UK tour. 2024’s eagerly-awaited follow up Gas ‘n’ Air was made in Mexico City, and also earned rave reviews.
