About the show
Raw emotion is the proud currency of this six-piece indie folk-rock outfit from Stroud. Gutsy vocals driven by hard guitars, mandolin, violin, accordion and drums suggest echoes of the legendary folk-rock greats, yet boast a uniqueness that made them a rousing festival favourite with an army of fans.
Now, after more than fifteen years below deck, The Outcast Band return with Anchors, Mermaids & Sails, a powerful indie-folk-rock album shaped by time, tide, and distance. Blending raw energy with intimate, reflective moments, it explores love, loss, disillusionment and hope, resulting in a long-awaited fourth album that is both atmospheric and deeply resonant.
On stage, The Outcast Band bring a live performance like no other. Their influences, from folk, punk and rock are apparent, but they have created a distinctive sound which has earned them a reputation for giving what many have described as the best live music experience of their lives.
