About the show

Hungarian-born Dr Laszlo Rozsa is one of the world’s leading recorder players. His performances have taken him across the UK, Europe, North America, and China and he’s been heard many times on BBC Radios 3 and 4 as well as on several classical albums. He’s the principal recorder player of Scotland’s acclaimed Dunedin Consort and he’s shared the stage with many of the greatest international period ensembles.

Laszlo is also a passionate advocate for contemporary music and this late-night performance plays thrillingly with old and new, pitching 16th and 17th-century madrigals and their ornamental improvisations against electronic soundscapes from composer-performer Tim Cooper. The performance also features a new collaboration with Laszlo’s University of Nottingham Colleague, Associate Professor of Composition, Dr Elizabeth Kelly.

This event follows an earlier concert with The Hallé.
