A.A. Williams

Evoking influence from ‘Moon Pix’-era Cat Power and her serene contemporaries such as Emma Ruth Rundle, A.A.Williams is coming out the gate as an exemplary songwriter with anthemic and passionate melodies; the swathe of which leaves the listener doused in sonic density. An unearthly voice soars over delicate yet decisive chords at a performance from the dark-folk singer-songwriter whose debut EP met with awed reviews. A.A. Williams has been aligned with the likes of Chelsea Wolfe, but is also moulded by the fragility and experimentation of artists like Radiohead and PJ Harvey. Williams arrived in January 2019 with her self-titled EP, going on to perform at Roadburn and ArcTanGent festivals and lining up appearances with Amenra, Russian Circles, The Sisters of Mercy and Cult of Luna.
