About the show
In 2023, five confirmed colleagues - four voices and a lute - on the early music stage - established Dowland’s Foundry: an ensemble whose heartland repertoire is the golden age of Elizabethan song, and named after its most iconic exponent, the lutenist John Dowland. In the second of two concerts in the Dowland 400 festival, they perform songs from the later songbooks of 1603 and 1612.
