About the show
Last summer saw the release of Hannah Brine’s debut album, Blue Sky Now, and her first tour, taking in venues including the Buxton Opera House (supporting Rumer), Bridgewater Hall and Rough Trade (London).
Produced by guitarist Jamie McCredie, the album features an all-star cast including Jamie Safir / Hamish Balfour on piano, Ian King on bass, and Chris Draper on drums.
The songs are all deeply personal and cover the period of her life which saw Hannah leave London to start a new chapter up in Derbyshire’s Peak District, where she has now developed a keenness for growing vegetables!
Much of the material is written with Hannah’s long-time collaborator Michael Garvin (23 #1 hits including George Benson/ J Lo) – and is inspired by their shared love of folk-pop from the 60s and 70s, and the Great American Songbook.
Featuring
Hannah Brine
Inspired by the Great American Songbook, with a voice & song writing style likened to Carole King, Norah Jones and Rumer, Hannah writes & performs lush ballads & lively jazz anthems, telling tales of growth & change, of life & loss, all destined to be modern classics. Hannah's debut album "Blue Sky Now" is out later this year.
