About the show
For over ten years, Sloe Train have been a driving force on the UK blues-rock scene. Anchored by the tight, seasoned chemistry of long-term members Pete Carlisle (Vocals), Chris McCormack (Drums), Chris Burrows (Keyboards), and Tony Ecclestone (Bass), the band has earned its stripes delivering high-energy, storytelling-driven performances to packed crowds nationwide.
The band first put their stamp on the map with their 2019 debut album of original material, Eclectic Blues. Though the global pandemic temporarily slowed their momentum shortly after its launch, Sloe Train spent the subsequent years cementing their status on the live circuit. Their powerful live show earned them coveted main stage appearances at the UK’s most prestigious events, including the Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival in Colne, Upton Blues, Alfold, Looe, Buxton, and Bosworth, alongside a high-profile 2024 UK tour support slot with rising stars Brave Rival.
In 2025, a major turning point arrived. After eight fantastic years, guitarist Jerome Braud returned to his native France, opening the door for virtuoso new lead guitarist András Droppa to climb aboard. Droppa’s arrival provided an immediate, massive lift to the band, sparking a profound surge of creative energy and a renewed passion for songwriting. The definitive proof of this musical rebirth is their brand-new studio album, Kings of Saturday Night. Written during the winter of 2025/26 and recorded in March at the renowned Mooncalf Studios in Wiltshire under the expert ear of engineer and producer Nick Beere, the album is a true collaborative triumph.
Infused with the fiery spirit of influences like Joe Bonamassa, King King, Gary Moore, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Kings of Saturday Night showcases a striking variety of tracks that lean heavily on rich storytelling, soaring guitar work, and an undeniable groove.
