Featuring Hans Gáls Suite for Solo Cello, as well as works by Telemann, Dall 'Abaco and contemporary composers Asja Valcic, Ed Finnis and Daniel Delaney. Minsky's 'The Hipster' will conclude the programme.
Jeremy has performed widely as both chamber and orchestral player and has often performed as a soloist, ranging from unaccompanied recitals to performing the Elgar Cello Concerto at Earl’s Court Arena in front of Queen Elizabeth II. He is currently the principal cellist of the Lyric Chamber Orchestra and cellist with the Lyric String Quartet.
Jeremy Capey studied cello performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Later he gained a further performance diploma from the Royal College of Music, where he was singled out for a special commendation based on the exceptional quality of his performance.
Amongst his teachers have been Naomi Butterworth and Stefan Popov, and more recently he has much appreciated the professional guidance and support of Patricia Calnan.
