Simon Whitworth, the creative force behind Doggett, is no stranger to reinvention. A veteran of the music scene, he first tasted stardom in the early ‘80s as a 16-year-old in the new romantic band G. I. Orange, which skyrocketed to fame in Japan before disbanding when he was 21. The turbulent years that followed became the crucible for his art, fueling both his music and his writing.

Doggett marks a return to Simon’s roots, a nod to the pop-punk and new wave sounds that shaped his youth. Influenced by bands like The Stranglers, The Who, and The Jam, he crafts basslines that don’t just support but demand attention, weaving them into the fabric of his songs.
