Award-winning duo Max & Veronica are among the leading ambassadors of early American roots music in Europe, delivering vintage blues, ragtime and jazz with irresistible charm, wit, and groove — turning every concert into a warm, joyful experience.
Their unique blend of ragtime, country blues, early jazz and hillbilly music captures the authentic sound of the 1920s and 1930s while bringing it to life for contemporary audiences.
This is the first time they have performed in Newcastle upon Tyne. Their show will be preceded by a performance by local guitarist Michael Woods

Solo acoustic Fingerpicking, Ragtime Bottleneck & Blues Guitarist based in the North East of England with four well received albums to date.Embracing the rich history of early blues, Michael’s powerful picking and slide really shine on material ranging from classic acoustic blues to self-penned songs & instrumentals.
He incorporates elements of his experience in the folk world and his love of the North East and its history into his style.
