Twelfth Night (or, What You Will)

This Summer, Shakespeare’s classic comedy romp is given a splash of Regency-era scandal and sparkle, as Theatre Space North East team up with the Assembly Rooms to present this dazzling large-cast production, staged in the surrounding splendour of the stunning chandelier suite.

Expect shades of Bridgerton-meets-the-Bard alongside all the usual laughs, larks, yellow stockings, and cakes-and-ale that regularly feature in this larger-than-life celebration of love, in a modern verse translation by Alison Carey in association with Play On Shakespeare.

Suitable for all ages and lasting ~120 minutes, this production is sure to be a feast for the senses this coming July.
