About the show
Celebrate a golden era of music and laughter as we remember the songs and stars of the fabulous fifties, swinging sixties, and beyond!
Those Were The Days is a sparkling, foot-tapping, feel-good show evoking the wonderful mix of entertainment that accompanied the optimistic youth of the postwar generation, and is packed with nearly fifty singalong hits.
Multi-talented musical entertainers Andy Eastwood and Pete Lindup bring us songs from not only the rock & roll stars like Bill Haley and Buddy Holly, but variety artists such as Morecambe and Wise, and even George Formby, while sensational vocalist Helen Farrell pays tribute to Connie Francis, Cilla Black and Doris Day.
They are joined by velvet-voiced Stephen Bayliss, who will sing a selection of his favourites from Nat King Cole to the Drifters, and more…
Accompanied by the Wendy Richardson Band, this will be an unforgettable afternoon of live music and variety. Why not take advantage of our group discounts and bring a party to join in the fun?
Featuring
Andy Eastwood
Andy Eastwood has dazzled audiences worldwide with his skill on the ukulele-banjo, violin and guitar. He combines showmanship, humour and musical prowess in a fast-moving variety act that includes styles from classical to rock & roll... Andy can usually be found touring Britain's major theatres, but if not there he will be performing his one-man show in cabaret, at corporate events, or on board a luxury cruise liner. He appeared regularly as support act for the legendary comedian Ken Dodd for sixteen years, and has television, radio and film credits to his name. As a producer, Andy presents the touring variety show 'Those Were The Days' and the popular matinee series 'Midday Variety' at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry.
