Eleanor Turner is chief harpist at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and Mendi Singh is widely acclaimed as one of the best tabla players in the UK. Collaborating in Tāla Tarang (meaning ‘rhythm waves’) they bring together strands of traditional, contemporary, folk, and western and Indian classical music. Playing in intimate jazz clubs, concert halls, and outdoor festivals around Europe they weave East-meets-West musical tapestries that celebrate nature and humanity.
