Handsome Jack

American roots-rock trio Handsome Jack make their Margate debut at Olby's Soul Café on Thursday 19th November 2026, bringing their Barnburners! tour to the Kent coast.

From Lockport, New York, Handsome Jack fuse blues, soul, boogie and classic rock into a sound that is timeless yet unmistakably their own. Fronted by guitarist and vocalist Jamison Passuite, alongside bassist Joey Verdonselli and drummer Bennie Hayes, they draw on the great traditions of Memphis, Muscle Shoals and Chicago blues while sounding thoroughly contemporary — bridging gritty barroom boogie, Southern soul and hook-filled rock 'n' roll.

Their sixth studio album Barnburners! arrived in February 2026 via Alive Naturalsound Records, ten tracks of swampy blues, soulful grooves and rich vocal harmonies, and has been hailed as one of their strongest releases to date.

They count Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes among their fans, and Ben McLeod of All Them Witches produced their 2021 album Get Humble. On the road they have shared stages with Rival Sons, Gov't Mule, The Sheepdogs, Monster Truck and Robert Randolph, building a reputation as one of the hardest-working live acts on the American roots-rock circuit.

For Thanet music fans this is a rare chance to catch a genuine American touring band in an intimate East Kent room, without the trek to London.
