A summer evening concert from Chetham’s Big Band and jazz ensembles. An opportunity to catch the future stars of the jazz world from the UK's largest specialist music school.
Featuring - Chetham's Big Band
The exceptionally popular Chetham’s Big Band has won the Junior Section of the BBC Radio 2 Big Band of the Year Competition three times. The Big Band has broadcast for the BBC from London's Golders Green Hippodrome and Birmingham's Pebble Mill Studios, as well as having been awarded the Gold Award at the Boosey and Hawkes National Concert Band Festival on numerous occasions. Concerts around Manchester regularly sell out, and the first ever winner of the BBC Young Musician Jazz Award emerged from the Big Band.
