Manchester's award-winning modern folk song and storytelling trio Harp & a Monkey bring another one of their popular themed matinees to the Band on the Wall.
'Let Us Tell You A Story.' will feature traditional and original songs and tales about everything from naked lifesavers on the River Irwell to community orchards in Bury.
Featuring - Harp And A Monkey
Songs about cuckolded molecatchers, a lone English oak tree that grows at Gallipoli, care in the community and medieval pilgrims...we can only be talking about the folk experimentalists Harp and a Monkey. Their electro-folk storytelling is imbued with a deep Lancashire sensibility that shines through in their beautifully crafted and sometimes spooky vignettes of northern life, love and remembrance.
