The Alligators are a three-piece electric blues band from East Yorkshire. They formed in 2004 with the intention of playing good, old style rhythm ‘n’ blues with the classic line-up of guitar, bass and drums.
They concentrate on an exciting live sound based on the styles of Chicago, New Orleans and Texas blues. Slide guitar features heavily in several of the numbers in the set. Their mission is ”to play R ‘n’ B like it used to be”.
The Alligators
Hull band The Alligators features Tony Underwood on guitar and vocals, Pete Robinson on bass and Mark Sedgwick on drums. They are definitely a band best captured in a live situation with a set consisting of some strong originals and covers by legends such as Peter Green, Rory Gallagher, Ry Cooder, the Stones, as well as the great Stevie Ray Vaughan.
