About the show

Our summer concert will take place at Bramshaw Village Hall, Lyndhurst, at 7pm on Saturday 20 June 2026.

Step into a world where music paints the stories we love. From the enchanting forest of Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel to the vibrant streets of Gershwin’s An American in Paris, this concert celebrates the magic of storytelling through sound. Journey through sweeping dances, cinematic landscapes, and timeless ballets, from the fiery rhythms of Albéniz’s Tango to the exotic flair of Luigini’s Ballet Egyptien. Let the music guide you through tales of romance, adventure, and imagination, in an unforgettable summer’s evening for all ages.

Conducted by Simon Wilkins, the orchestra will be playing a selection of music from the arts, including:

Albéniz Tango No.2
Barry Dances With Wolves
Denza Funiculí Funiculà
Fauré Pélleas Et Mélisande, Prelude & Sicilienne
