The comedy club returns to Brickworks on Thursday 5th of March with a great line up of top local comics.
This month sees the return of headliner Alan Irwin. Alan is a Belfast-based stand-up comedian, writer and performer, widely regarded as one of the most distinctive voices on the Northern Irish comedy circuit.
Known for his sharp, dark humour he is the co-host and co-founder of the popular Kill Your Darlings Comedy Club, alongside Ronan Linskey. Running since 2017 at The Black Box in Belfast.
On television, Alan is best known for playing Sandy in the BBC Northern Ireland mockumentary sitcom Soft Border Patrol, which aired for three series between 2018 and 2020. In radio, he is the writer and star of Johnny Tombola: Out Now for BBC Radio Ulster, and has also appeared on Micky Bartlett’s Comedy Club on BBC Sounds and Live at the Sunflower and The Shane Todd Show for BBC Radio Ulster.
Support on the night comes from Sara Jade Davidson, Ross Mitchell, Sorcha Shanahan & Justin Freeburn, with hosting duties handled by resident MC Peter E Davidson.
Peter has appeared on The Blame Game and Live at the Sunflower with Shane Todd, performed ten shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, and written for BBC NI, Radio Ulster and Radio 4 Extra.
