About the show
'The Word' are a rock, pop and jazz duo created by musician, singer and composer Paul Mannion. Together with vocalist Simon Lawrence, they sing a wide range of popular covers. They are known for their detailed harmonies, and their impressive take on classic songs: The Beatles, Bowie, The Smiths, Simon & Garfunkel, ELO, The Who, Queen and more!
As well as covers The Word have released a collection of original songs by Paul Mannion, with singles “Chaser”, “California” and “Find A Way” available on Spotify and YouTube.
Paul starred in the hit West End musical about The Beatles, ‘Let It Be’, as George Harrison, and toured the world with the show.
Simon has been a singer on the London jazz scene for over two decades, performing at many famous jazz venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, The 100 Club and The Vortex.
