About the show

The much-loved Warner Estate is such a huge part of the Walthamstow and Leyton visual landscape that we sometimes take for granted how groundbreaking it was historically. BUT why was it built? When did it start? How many dwellings were there? Who lived there? What were the original interiors like?

Join Kirstin, a local historian, who has been pondering these burning questions for over 18 years, after being inspired to write the house history of her Warner flat. Her research has taken her on a fascinating and unexpected journey including a deep dive into the Warner Estate archive, two exhibitions, and endless random doorstep conversations.

Please note this event is in the upstairs bar.
