About the show

People love to hate Damien Hirst, but Daniel Barnes loves to love him. In this talk, Daniel explains how, one night in September 2008, his life became forever entwined with the infamous YBA. He argues that Damien does the work that art is supposed to do because he presents timeless themes in a contemporary aesthetic, making our brief, insignificant existences a little bit more joyful.
