About the show
Des Was a Bowie Fan returns to London Town and E17 on Friday July 24th. Indiepop, new wave, post-punk, 60s Pop and Northern Soul dancing all night long in the upstairs loveshack at the Walthamstow Trades Hall.
The Shangri-Las to The Smiths, Brigitte Bardot to Blondie and Belle and Sebastian, Dusty Springfield to Depeche Mode, Roy Orbison to The Raincoats, The Velvet Underground to Veronica Falls, Tami Tyrell to Hefner and The Wolfhounds, Al Wilson to Aztec Camera, Martha and the Vandellas to The Magnetic Fields, Jimmy Ruffin to David Bowie, with a sweet underlay of 1950s and '60s heartbreak. 8pm till 1am.
We always have a great night upstairs at the Trades with its miniature cabaret-style stage and dancefloor and old seating in the fashion of the social clubs. But please be aware that it is limited to 60 capacity. We'd recommend grabbing tickets early if you can.
