About the show
Join this cellicious ride with cellist/jazz singers Kate Shortt and Rupert Gillett as they join forces to express their take on the world of standards, Latin, originals plus more. Kate Shortt, cellist, singer songwriter, cabaret artist and comedienne is known for her avant garde improvisations and off the wall humour. Rupert Gillett, multi instrumentalist, singer, composer and jazz bassist is an experienced artist in rock, blues and Eastern European styles.

Kate Shortt
A classically trained cellist, experienced cabaret performer and singer-songwriter. She will charm, delight and massage the senses with her songs and narrative at both the cello and piano. Her show has been described as consisting of 'unique happenings at the cello and intimate confessions at the piano' and as 'a cross between Victoria Wood and Jim Tavare'.
