Featuring
John Robertson
John Robertson is a high-octane cult leader with wild eyes and a thunderous voice. A stand-up, improviser and force of nature, he’s the creator of the hit live-action videogame show “The Dark Room” (4,000,000 hits on YouTube, over 500 performances all around the world), he faked a seizure on reality TV, wrote the Puffin kids book "The Little Town of Marrowville" and wants you to know he loves you, but he's still going to yell at you. You can see him in theatres, clubs, gaming festivals, nerd events and rock shows. Praise for John and The Dark Room: “NOT TO BE MISSED” – The Guardian. ‘The Dark Room is utterly unique, it’s hard to describe the magic and joyful surprises awaiting you within without utterly scaring you off.’ – The Skinny ‘You must see this show’ – British Comedy Guide ‘You have to see the Dark Room at least once in your life’ – The Scottish Sun ‘Great fun, nostalgic, but also a fresh angle for comedy’ – Den of Geek ‘Genuinely, irresistibly dangerous’ – The Stage "If you like your comedy interactive, you’ll be hard-pressed to find better than John Robertson” (ThreeWeeks), “His material is intelligent, edgy and smoothly-delivered” (The Age, Melbourne). “A cult is born” (Bruce Dessau). Dylan Dodds
Dylan has now been performing stand-up around the country for more than half a decade. Entertaining fans with his unique blend of whimsical observations, silly one-liners/songs, and bluer tales of his humdrum/sexy life. He’s appeared in two compilation shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as well as his debut: Dylan Dodds and Friends (Friends Not Included) which was about his experience spending the last ten years writing a blog comparing his life to the sitcom Friends. Dylan previously ran his own nights in London – Famous First Words and Jazz Comedy – an anarchic experimental show where acts performed over live jazz drums played by Dylan himself. He’s written for BBC’s Newsjack. And is also the drummer in a jazz/function band mainly made up of lawyers – Permission to Appeal – as well as the comedian Andrew O’Neill’s house band for their Dead Leg Comedy show. "A truckload of puns and one-liners" - Chortle “Most enjoyable […] endearingly thorough […] great rapport with the audience […] strong and amusing” – The Wee Review "This was a fast moving comprehensive performance that ticked a lot of boxes" - Notts Comedy Review "Lovely Stuff" - Geoff Norcott "You're like the future writ large" - Simon Munnery "His energy, cheeky personality and passion for performing infectious, from the offfset Dylan expertly worked the audience with ease" - The Lancashire Post
