About the show
This is a journey through 40 years of the most important genre to emerge from the electronic music revolution: house music.A full live orchestra, with players curated by Jazz Cafe, will narrate us through the most important, the most iconic and the most loved house records of all time.
From the origins of the sound in the 80s tracking its development all the way up to today, this uplifting, emotional and genre-defining session will pay tribute not just the songs we worship. It will pay homage the scenes, the cities, the dancefloors, the artists and the stories who together built the house that dominates dancefloors to this date.
The arrangement will feature full bass, synth, string, percussion, brass and vocal sections, all gracing one of London’s most landmark venues this September.

The House Music Orchestra takes you on a journey through the most seminal of house music classics.
From the underground clubs of Chicago in the '80s to its global influence today, house music has shaped nightclubs, culture, and dance music broadly for decades. The genre, driven in it’s earliest stages by DIY usage of electronic instruments to create brand new sounds, redefined the dancefloor and has brought people together in ways never though possible.
