Soul Asylum are true survivors of the rock struggle. Their home-made post-punk ethos made them one of the cornerstones of the No Depression movement in the '90s, enjoying huge success in the when their 'Grave Dancers Union' album went triple platinum and catapulted them into mainstream consciousness. A constant presence on radio waves and MTV alike in the 90s, with instantly recognisable hits such as 'Black Gold', 'Somebody To Shove' and 'Runaway Train', Soul Asylum had no less than four top 40 hits in the UK charts.
