D_Antidote: Non-Ordinary Services
D_Antidote: Non-Ordinary Services at The Coronet Theatre, London
About the show
A bold fusion of contemporary dance and sci-fi aesthetics from taiwan Non-Ordinary Services, from internationally acclaimed Taiwanese company D_Antidote Production and choreographer Chuang Po-Hsiang explores the strange and often invisible systems that shape human relationships, blending abstract choreography with a striking sci-fi visual aesthetic.
The concept of service can be understood as an act – paid or unpaid – through which one fulfils responsibilities and supports others, existing only in the moment of its enactment.
In Non-Ordinary Services, the body becomes a living archive. Moving through shifting states of service, submission, intimacy and control, the dancers’ bodies are constantly intertwined, carried, manipulated and supported, creating images that feel simultaneously tender and unsettling.
