About the show
The Project40 Ensemble returns with a characteristically iconoclastic juxtaposition of opposites from across the contemporary spectrum, contrasting Oliver Knussen's exquisite settings of Japanese with James Dillon's granitic minature, Richard Rodney Bennett's virtuosic Guitar Concerto with Constant Lambert's surprisingly restrained songs of Li Po. The concert revives Jacob Churchyard's Hoyt commissions for our first concert in 2019
