Join us for Friday Night Jazz at the Atrium Bar & Restaurant, President Hotel, Russell Square. On 6 November, we are delighted to present acclaimed guitarist Mike Outram, accompanied by Soner Ersen (piano), Andy Cleyndert (bass), and Eric Ford (drums).
Mike Outram is one of the UK's leading jazz guitarists, widely admired for his exceptional technique, expressive improvisation, and stylistic versatility. He has built an outstanding international reputation through performances across Europe, North America, Asia, Australia and Africa. Throughout his distinguished career, Mike has collaborated with an impressive range of artists including Herbie Hancock, Joe Lovano, John Scofield, Stanley Turrentine, George Russell, Peter King, Julian Arguelles and Jacqui Dankworth. Alongside his performing career, he is a highly respected educator and has taught jazz guitar at the Royal Academy of Music, Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Equally at home as a performer, composer and educator, he is recognised as one of Britain's most accomplished and respected jazz musicians.
Together, they will present an evening of beautifully interpreted jazz standards, swinging grooves, and inspired improvisation, highlighting Mike's lyrical approach, inventive harmonic language, and outstanding musicianship.
To enjoy the full experience of the evening, we recommend arriving before 7:30 PM to allow time to be seated, order your food and drinks, and settle in comfortably before the music begins at 8:00 PM.

Ticket Information There are two ticket options available: Dining Ticket – Dinner & Live Jazz For guests who wish to enjoy dinner during the performance. We will do our best to reserve a table for you; however, table reservations are subject to availability. To give yourself the best chance of securing a table, we recommend booking your dining ticket as early as possible.
Drinks Ticket – Live Jazz Only For guests who would like to enjoy drinks without dining. You are welcome to enjoy the performance from the bar area, where you can both see and hear the band. If tables become available during the evening, you are welcome to use one; however, we cannot guarantee table seating for drinks-only tickets.

Mike Outram is one of the UKs foremost guitarists who is sought after as an improviser and his ability to contribute a unique voice to any musical ensemble. He has toured internationaly, appeared on over a hundred CDs for Universal, Sony, Candid, Blue Note records and others, and was awarded Granada Jazz Festival's 'Best Group in Europe' award.
Soner Ersen
Soner Ersen is a London based jazz pianist and educator. He participates in different projects as a pianist, keyboardist, composer and educator. He is currently teaching at London Music House and gigging in London and abroad with his trio/quartet.
