Morton Valence have been ploughing their own genre-defying furrow for more years than they care to remember, producing 7 critically acclaimed albums along the way. Centred around the vocal pairing of Robert 'Hacker' Jessett and Anne Gilpin - 2 voices that couldn't be more different, yet more suited to each other at the same time.

Jessett and Gilpin describe their music as 'urban country' and are cited on the BBC website as having recorded “the best ever single you’ve never heard of”. They were recently signed to 'Cow Pie' records and are currently collaborating with steel guitar legend BJ Cole on an 8th album.
