About the show
Join us for CROWD WORK: an interactive comedy show which sees three comedians flexing their comedy muscles and taking on whatever the audience throws at them.
Championing your weird and wonderful stories, unpacking your confessions and diving into your dilemmas.
This is work-in-progress, so expect an evening where nothing is prepared and everything is possible!
Three comedians. One crowd. Absolute chaos.
Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.
Featuring
Frank Skinner
He may have co-written a number one single (Three Lions), but most of Frank Skinner's achievements have been to do with comedy; winning a 1991 Perrier Award, creating the classic TV show 'Fantasy Football' (with David Baddiel), presenting his own series... the list goes on. 'You could put Skinner down in front of any audience at any time and he would have it in stitches' (Waldemar Januszczak) 'Exquisite and surprising... highly accomplished and very funny' (The Independent) 'Provocative, remorseless and very, very funny' (The Times).

Maisie Adam
Maisie Adam first tried stand-up comedy in October 2016, in her native North Yorkshire (and unlike most newbie stand-ups, she did a full hour for her first ever gig). A couple of months later, she applied for the UK's largest stand-up competition: So You Think You're Funny. She headed up to Edinburgh for the semi-final, which she won, and the final was held at the end of the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe. Maisie won this too, becoming only the fourth woman to have done so in 30 years. Maisie returned to the Edinburgh Fringe the following year with her debut show Vague, which sold out the Gilded Balloon every day, received rave reviews and earned her a nomination for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. She also won the Amused Moose National New Comic whilst up at the Fringe, and Vague was picked up by the Soho Theatre for an extended post-Edinburgh run in January 2019. You may have also seen Maisie Adam on BBC's Mock the Week, Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats and ITV’s The Stand Up Sketch Show, and she has appeared on The Stephen K Amos Talk Show (Audible) and Urban Myths (Sky Arts). Other credits include BBC Three’s Period Dramas, and as show support for fellow stand-up Kiri Pritchard-McLean

Travis Jay
Travis Jay burst onto the comedy scene in 2009, after being inspired by Kojo's Comedy Funhouse. He's continued to go from strength to strength performing in many venues across the country including The Comedy Store, Comedy Cafe, The Barbican, Hackney Empire and The Shaw Theatre. Drawing on observations on life for his material, his influences are the likes of Bernie Mac, Dane Cook, John Bishop, Kat Williams and Dave Chapelle. He has previously warmed up for Ava Vidal at Soho Theatre and Angie Le Mar - his mother! - at the Barbican.
