How beauty spaces shape culture, creativity and community

The salon is often understood as a place of beauty. For many communities, however, it has always been much more than that: a place of care, conversation, transformation, style, sound, memory and belonging.

Anchored by Charlotte Mensah’s 40-year journey, this panel will explore the salon as a cultural space. A room where stories are exchanged, identities are shaped, confidence is restored and relationships are sustained over years, sometimes generations.

Bringing together voices from hair, performance, music and cultural commentary, the conversation will consider what salons hold, what they represent and why these spaces matter far beyond the appointment.

Because the salon was never only about hair. It was always about people.

Join us for an evening of exhibition viewing, conversation and music.

Moderator and panel speakers to be announced.

Featuring - Charlotte Mensah
