A potent cocktail of spiritual Afro-Mandinka music with a twist of jazz composed by a Sekou Keita, a griot and international Kora player with a fantastic musical family pedigree.
Respecting a musical tradition that stretches back to the 13th Century and the Mandinka Empire of West Africa, Seckou is an established contemporary master of the Kora, the 21-stringed African harp. With his feet firmly rooted in the 21st century and the identity of his heritage clear, Seckou is keen to experiment and develop fresh ideas.
