About the show
The Blue Moon have built a reputation for raucous, emotional, high-energy live shows with vintage and heartfelt Rock’n’Roll, rich vocals, soulful grooves, and soaring horns forming the backbone of their sound.
From sold-out grassroots venues to festivals stages across UK and Europe, the band consistently deliver performances that connect deeply with audiences.
Their records showcase a retro flair and authentic songwriting, but it’s on stage that the songs really come alive- forming an intimate relationship between band and crowd.
Led by singer-songwriter James Chapman with co-writing from drummer Alex Walker, the band is backed by an experienced six-piece live lineup. Their second EP, So Glad (2025), was recorded with Jamie Savage (The Twilight Sad,
King Creosote) at Chem19 Studios, and features horn arrangements by Andy Bruce (Katherine Williams, Michelle Stodart).
Featuring
The Blue Moon
Welcome to The Blue Moon, a vintage Rock’n’Roll band from the UK. In between their day jobs as teachers, the band have been playing sweaty pubs, festivals and even a few European bar tours. The goal in 2023: to create a set of tunes that represent the energy they bring to live shows, combining vintage production and driving up-beat melodies.
