About the show
Growing up in a musical family, Lana Shelley was singing from a young age. Whilst at University in Leeds, she was active on the music scene in several bands including The Bluefoot Project (w/ Rachel Modest) and Jazz hip hop band Thelonious (w/ Grammy Award-winner Bill Laurance)
She went on to have a colourful solo career that saw her play in the Avalon Fields at Glastonbury, Main Stage at Secret Garden Party and a host of other popular Festivals. She has also had her music played on BBC 6 Music, performed a live session on Radio 2 (Janice Long's show - R.I.P) amongst many other stations. During this time she also wrote and performed songs with Fender Rhodes Jazz-Funk Pioneer JD73 and the energetic Blues outfit Tom Mansi & The Icebreakers.
After taking a break from performing live, to bring up her children, she is back to build on her past successes and bring her incredible brand of 50s, Rock N Roll, Jazz and Blues inspired sounds. Her unique, warm, chocolate sauce Jazz-infused vocals, straight to the point lyrics and upbeat groovy band are guaranteed to leave you buoyant and full of good time, soul energy!
