About the show
Irish musician Lisa Hannigan presents SIRENS – a special gathering of contemporary folk voices in the Barbican Hall. With arrangements and music direction by Theodora Bryne and performed alongside her trio, SIRENS brings together an extraordinary gathering of artists for a unique evening of shared song and sonic exploration. Alongside Hannigan, artists include Amanda Bergman, Kate Stables, Charlotte Cornfield, Tammy Adams, Victoria Canal, The Staves and Angie McMahon.
Created during an artistic residency at the Sounds from a Safe Harbour festival in Cork, Ireland, SIRENS centres on the resonance, strength and intimacy of women’s voices. Moving between original compositions and reimagined works by female songwriters, the performance unfolds through layered harmonies, collaborative arrangements and moments of deep listening, creating an atmosphere that is both intimate and expansive.
Featuring - Lisa Hannigan

Described by the New York Times as 'exquisitely ethereal', Hannigan's chance meeting with singer-songwriter Damien Rice led to a long period of collaboration and development that included Rice's critically acclaimed albums O and 9.
