Hofesh Shechter’s new full-length work for Shechter II, IN THE BRAIN, is an invitation to let go - to move, to surrender to the music, and to be swept away in rhythm.
Journey to the bottom of the cave, to the depths of consciousness, to a place beyond narratives, to a dreamlike, club-like, timeless state where movement takes over and euphoria unfolds.
Developed from CAVE, originally produced by Martha Graham Company and Studio Simkin, IN THE BRAIN celebrates the spark, connection, and unity found in dancing together.
Brought to life by the fierce, unstoppable energy of Shechter II, this is a space to break free – where stories dissolve, identity fades, and only the beat rules.

Hofesh Shechter is dance's most electric contemporary choreographer. Since arriving in the UK in 2002, Israeli-born Hofesh and his company have become recognised both nationally and internationally, winning critical and popular acclaim.
Renowned for creating the musical scores to accompany his work, as well as for his unique physicality and edgy movement style, Hofesh confronts all conventional expectations within contemporary dance.
